What is DBT?

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment model for individuals who have been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). DBT is an 18-month long outpatient program that provides you with the support and tools to create a life worth living.

Focus of DBT Treatment

DBT Focuses on learning and applying four core skills to every day life.

  1. Mindfulness

  2. Distress Tolerance

  3. Emotion Regulation

  4. Interpersonal Effectiveness

These skills are taught in the weekly skills group, which is a class-like setting, and then applied to your life in individual sessions with your therapist one-on-one.
