Rachel Hills, MS, LPC

Rachel (she/her) attended University of Missouri-Kansas City where she obtained a B.A. in Psychology, and then went on to pursue her Masters in Counseling Psychology from Avila University. She completed internship at Truman Medical Center OB/GYN Specialty Clinics and Crossroads Counseling Outpatient Therapy clinic where she began specializing in Perinatal Mood & Anxiety disorders.

Rachel began practicing DBT in 2018 with Erica Brandli and Marissa Kile. She was immediately drawn to this model and specialty in working with BPD because of the consultation team dynamic to always be supported and challenged by your colleagues to be the best clinician you can be. Additionally, the DBT framework provides such an important set of worldviews and real-life skills that are applicable for anyone, not just folks diagnosed with BPD. Rachel credits the DBT model to shaping her therapy practice and understanding and navigating her own interpersonal relationships. Rachel is also actively working in her private practice Maternal Mental Health KC, LLC to offer specialty services to families in the metro integrating the concepts of DBT in supporting clients who are navigating difficulties associated with pregnancy and postpartum.
